Explanation of Pre-Registration

Pre-registration is offered as a way for you to indicate serious interest in my CLP course without immediate charge to your credit card. Why? Because I have to make certain there are enough participants to cover my costs of conducting the course. These costs include paid class space, my travel costs, royalties and other course-related expenses.

During pre-registration your credit card will be securely held by the credit card processing company until enough students join the course. If the course is not of interest to enough participants, your credit card will not be charged at all and the card authorization will be canceled.

In the United States, the magic number is almost always 12 participants. By purchasing a block of at least 12 tickets, or by collaborating with others to purchase a handful of smaller ticket blocks which add up to 12 tickets or more, you can help to ensure the course will run.

I have extensively researched event venues in the area, and have a good grasp of all the various costs involved. I can therefore predict with reasonable accuracy how many participants are required for me to be able to hit the launch button.

The amazing learning outcomes of a system modeling-based course design require a great deal more floor space per participant than a more traditional course design. This is one of many reasons it takes a good number of participants for the course to be viable.

Additional Information

Pre-Registration Period: During the pre-registration period, your credit card will be placed on file but not charged. Once there are enough pre-registered students for the course to be financially viable, the venue will be finalized and all credit cards on file will be charged. The best way to ensure the course happens is to encourage your peers and friends to pre-register as well.
